Who we are
Ashanti Development is a registered UK Charity which aims to provide remote villages in the Ashanti Region of Ghana with water and sanitation, healthcare, education and income generating activities.
What Information do we record?
When you contact Ashanti Development we will retain basic information about you such as name and address, email address, telephone number. Generally we do not store sensitive information although sometimes third parties such as a partner or fundraising site like ‘MyDonate’ will share information and will have their own privacy policy statement. We may also receive some information via Social Media sites.
When do we collect the information?
We collect information when you contact Ashanti Development or visit our website, make a donation, request our newsletter or updates, or any additional information – via social media – about our services.
How do we use your information?
We will use your information in a number of different ways to keep in contact with you and provide information requested or updates that affect the Charity, events and fund raising activities, donations and gift aid processing.

We collect your data in order to update you with activities and events that we feel will be on interest to you and will not collect any unnecessary data.

How long to we keep the information?
We hold your information on our systems for as long as necessary and will remove the data on request

Details of your information that we hold on you can be requested at any time so that you can check the details are correct and will require your consent for any data to be amended removed or transferred.

If you wish to complain about the storing of your data please contact any of the UK Directors as shown on the Website
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time although we would prefer to address your concerns with ourselves first.
